As many of you know, Andre is an avid gardener and we’re both passionate about fresh, locally-sourced produce. Our interest in food gave us an immediate common bond with our client, Mary Beth Albright, whose motto “Live Deliciously” translates into her work as a food journalist, restaurant critic for DC Magazine, teacher, and advocate. Mary Beth is passionately committed to bring people together through great food and she recently brought her energy and charisma to the Food Network’s “Next Star” competition. We watched on the edge of our seats as Mary Beth’s meatloaf and cupcakes made it past the judge’s critical palates. (Alas, leg of lamb was her Waterloo: she missed the season finale by just one episode, winning her a coveted Third Place honor!) Cooking skills aside, what really won the hearts of judges and audience alike was Mary Beth’s warm, lively, and incredibly knowledgeable banter about food and cooking. A lawyer by training, Mary Beth would like to parlay her love of food and her “gift of gab” into a professional television career. “I think Washington is an incredible food city, so I’d like to do something involving that,” she explains. We wish her the best of luck! While you’re waiting for Mary Beth’s next gig, check out her Living Deliciously website: www.marybethalbright.com. Her kid’s book, How Apples Grow, would make a great gift for the youngest foodie in your home.
