Okay, we may have graduated from high school 35 years ago, but my tribe has not lost its edge! My tight group of girlfriends is always the first to spot cool trends in fashion as well as in socially-conscious products. The last time we met for lunch, two of my friends were wearing the same pair of bright shoes, but in different colors. That’s when I first heard of the company called Rothy’s.
Rothy’s co-founders recognized that something was missing from the women’s shoe market. Sustainable options were growing in importance but were still far from stylish. To make matters worse, “fashion” and “comfort” rarely coexisted. Women wanted a stylish, comfortable shoe made from low-waste, low-impact materials.
The result was a wardrobe game changer.
Modern, yet classic, Rothy’s shoes are now a wardrobe staple for me; they go with everything from jeans to swingy skirts. I put them on the morning, wear them all day, and pretty much forget about them – except for the constant compliments that I receive. They’re lightweight, soft, practical…and super cute.
Believe it or not, Rothy’s are made from recycled plastic water bottles! Once transformed, they become a comfortable knitted shoe that fits like a glove and is soft like a sock. I love that I can throw mine in the wash (cold water, gentle cycle, gentle detergent) and let them air dry.
Can you tell I’m obsessed with these flats? With their crayon-bright colors, animal prints, sassy graphics, and classic neutrals, Rothy’s come in a range of designs: round-toed ballerinas, pointy-toe, smoking slipper, and loafers. Give them a try: Pick out your favorites on the Rothy’s website, then use the following link to save $20 on your first purchase: https://www.talkable.com/x/80kiEX.
Let me know which Rothy’s you choose! I bet you live in them this summer.
