As much as I am extremely grateful that Andre, our daughter, the ACS team, and I are healthy and stable during these crazy times, there’s a part of me that really yearns for travel. Who knows how long it will be until I can enjoy a delicious meal on a piazza in Tuscany? Well, guess what? Thanks to the iRicchi Food Club the answer is: Tonight!
In a city known for transience, i Ricchi restaurant is a treasured “survivor,” with 30 years of continuous operation. i Ricchi is a D.C. culinary icon and its chef-owner, Christianne Ricchi, an ambassador of Italian cuisine in the nation’s capital.
Having survived multiple government shutdowns, five presidents, 9/11, The Great Recession of 2008, and the competitive D.C. dining scene, i Ricchi is nothing short of a marvel. Even Covid-19 has not slowed Christianne’s commitment and imagination.
In an effort to break the tedium of “pandemic pantries” and the monotony of another night in front of the stove, the restaurant has introduced the i Ricchi Food Club. And let me tell you, Andre and I are full-fledged fans!
The i Ricchi Food Club is a pre-paid pickup food service (Tuesday through Saturday)* that offers curated Italian cuisine with a pre-set 4 course menu for up to 8 people. Each week, Chef Ricchi hand crafts a different, authentic dining experience that will transport you to Italy – with optional wines and spirits to add to the fun!
This month marks weeks 33-36 of this ingenious program. Not only would this provide a welcome break for you as the holidays arrive, but it can make gift-giving easy when you give a loved one a Food Club membership. Check out the trial for a one-time pick up for just $49 which serves two.
By the way, i Ricchi is offering other signature meals as well. On Sundays you can choose from a world-renowned Tuscan fried chicken (pollo fritto) or slow-roasted prime rib dinner, each with authentic Italian sides and desserts. Yum!
